The purpose of this IT Network Engineer role is to cover primarily the tasks focused on network operations, which include managing and supporting the daily tasks related to network, such as firewall, sdwan, WAF, switches maintenance. The ideal candidate will require managing a network of ~100 devices, monitor the network and support L2-L3 incidents and tickets, and supporting the local support teams when required. The Network Engineer role will also include performing improvements and applying standard best practices to network devices configuration.

Responsibilities:

· Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks

· Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, PABX, proxy servers, switches, wireless access points, VLAN, WAN, firewalls, DNS and DHCP, Cloud network.

· Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security

· Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting

· Arranging scheduled upgrades

· Investigating faults in the network

· Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases

· Reporting network status to management

· Optimization of firewall rules and traffic monitoring

· Monitoring network activities through PTRG

Požadavky

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field or equivalent hands-on experience

· At least 3 years of experience in the role of network/network security engineer

· Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written

· Critical and analytical thinking and creativity

· Conflict Resolution – ability to resolve problems and complex situations

· Active listening and empathy – ability to listen and understand users to address their needs

· Team player – ability to work with a team and influence a positive collaborative culture

· Ability to prioritize workload appropriately based on the impact on the business
